We upgraded our version of CRM from 8.0 to 8.2 (CRM 2016 OnPrem). Following that, any of our workflows with a step to send email are throwing an error on that step. I created a workflow with just a single step to send an email, and that is also throwing an error. The step to send an email is the CRM out-of-box workflow action. The error thrown is a "Generic SQL error". I'm not seeing anything further that would indicate what the problem is. I've looked through the application logs on our CRM servers, DB server, and I also ran the SQL profiler in an attempt to narrow this down. We've also tried rebooting all our CRM servers to resolve the issue, with no luck. Would anyone have any other suggestions?
