Hi Roya, Does this happen for all mailboxes or only some of them? Looks like a corruption in the mailbox record. Have you tried running a Test & Enable Mailbox to see if that forces a refresh of the record in the DB? Later Edit: I saw your 2nd post Is the CRM Email Server Profile set up to connect to a POP3/SMTP Email Server, while the email address specified in the CRM Mailbox is an Exchange Mailbox (or the other way around)? Hope this helps! Radu

Blog Post: Lookup Field vs Option Sets in Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM

When some of us first started working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, we may have thought global option sets were the ideal choice for offering users a list of defined options for a field selection, especially if that same field selection would be used on multiple forms. While global option sets are extremely useful, there are areas where a global option set has limitations. After using the option sets for a while, you may discover that you want to remove a value from the list and replace it with another value. That works fine if the item is just renamed, but if you remove the value entirely you could (unless using custom code) lose that value from the records where that option was previously chosen. If that scenario is one that potentially will happen, then you may want to consider using a lookup field rather than an option set. To utilize a lookup field, you will need to first create an entity to store your values. When using an entity you have the ability to inactive a value instead of deleting it. This will allow you to keep the inactive value attached to records and you will not lose the data for historical purposes. If your organization is planning on relying heavily on option sets in Dynamics CRM, and will likely need to change or add to the list of values often, it may make sense to consider switching to lookup fields. A custom entity/lookup field offers several advantages: With option sets, if you delete an option in the list you lose the data forever and you are never able to report out on it Your option sets may grow to be quite large and, depending on the placement of the field on the form, may become awkward for users to view the entire list. Similar to option sets, users can start typing a value and quickly resolve to the correct choice. With lookup fields, you can define views that display different sets of values from the associated entity.  So the options a user sees on one form using the lookup could be different from the options a user sees for the same lookup on another form by using different filtered views. Being able to query the old deactivated values could give you insight into clients that need to be contacted about new products or service offerings. So next time you begin to add global option sets to your CRM solution remember to stop, think about the long-term use for this field, and consider the potential benefits of a lookup field over an option set. Can you try to do a Test & Enable on the mailbox ? Does it start working afterwards? What if you try to change your email address to a different one and then change it back - does that help ?

Make sure you have the correct uppercases on the Telephone1 field. The Soap endpoint requires you to pay attention to this and doens't accept the "all lowercases" here just replace "telephone1" by "Telephone1" Clément

I can verify this works. Give your users access to the app(s) they should see.

Did you ever resolve this or find any other alternatives? The only thing I can think of is using scribe replication services, but that's not live.

Can you be more clear? If it's a DateTime field, just include the time in the filter.

Hello, First of all you can restrict this by many way using java-script , field security profile. However if you want then you can try below way .I believe you have registered your plugin in update event. So in update event you will get the pre-image of the record ,I mean you will get the jobtitle of current record before update. Here is the sample code , hope this helps public void Execute(IServiceProvider serviceProvider) { // Obtain the execution context from the service provider. // Obtain the organization service reference. IOrganizationServiceFactory serviceFactory = (IOrganizationServiceFactory)serviceProvider.GetService(typeof(IOrganizationServiceFactory)); IOrganizationService service = serviceFactory.CreateOrganizationService(context.UserId); if (context.InputParameters.Contains("Target") && context.InputParameters["Target"] is Entity) { // Obtain the target entity from the input parameters. Entity entity = (Entity)context.InputParameters["Target"]; // Verify that the target entity represents an contact. // If not, this plug-in was not registered correctly. if (entity.LogicalName == "contact") { Entity _preImageEntity = (context.PreEntityImages != null && context.PreEntityImages.Contains("PreImage")) ? context.PreEntityImages["PreImage"] : null; //Get Old JobTitle string _OldJobTitle = ""; if (_preImageEntity.Attributes.Contains("jobtitle")) { if (_preImageEntity.GetAttributeValue ("jobtitle") != "" && _preImageEntity.GetAttributeValue ("jobtitle") != null) { _OldJobTitle = _postImageEntity.GetAttributeValue ("jobtitle"); } } //Get New Jobtitle string _OldJobTitle = ""; if (entity.Attributes.Contains("jobtitle")) { if (entity.GetAttributeValue ("jobtitle") != "" && entity.GetAttributeValue ("jobtitle") != null) { _OldJobTitle = entity.GetAttributeValue ("jobtitle"); } } if (_OldJobTitle != _OldJobTitle) { throw new InvalidPluginExecutionException("You can not modify job title"); } } } }

Thanks for your responses. If user remove the App Id in the URL then the user will see all the tiles from the Default app. For Example: App URL: eqi2.crm8.dynamics.com/main.aspx Rewrite URL: eqi2.crm8.dynamics.com/main.aspx Please check and get back to me.

Sorry for not being more descriptive. this is a custom entity. when i select Contact that the published article belongs to. it seems not to associate its self with the actual contact record. the view when in the contact is Published article status equals active. i cant make it say with an "and" rule contact equals current contact. as the "equals" field is Dynamic. or is there a function i.e. %%currentcontact Thanks!

That's quite close to what I'd like to achieve. Instead of raising the Exception, I'd like to remove "jobtitle" from the attributes-to-update-list.. In real code I want to avoid updates of fields, which have not changed (but are in the attribute collection due to submit-mode "always" or for any other reason) which should be possible by comparing pre- and target image.

In real code I want to avoid updates of fields, which have not changed (but are in the attribute collection due to submit-mode "always" or for any other reason) which should be possible by comparing pre- and target image. debugger was already attached. I can confirm the code was executed. If the plugin is disabled, audit log shows "foo" for both - old and new value.

Forum Post: RE: how to create a Custom multi select lookup for resco MobileCrm

Dear Andrew, Many thanks for you getting back on this, firstly apologies - I kind of messed up between required and regarding - I mean the required field - it allows me to select multiple items from the drop down and also delete already selected one (small red x) . With ComboBoxItem - I can create a custom control to select from a list , but it only seems to allow single selection at a time. Is there a way i can create something like the required field shown in the snapshot. https://www.resco.net/javascript-bridge-reference/#MobileCRM_UI_DetailViewItems_ComboBoxItem Thanks and Regards, Muba
